New Year

I have been having fun cross-country skiing the last couple of weeks and Tom and I got our snowshoes yesterday and hope to get outside soon. Relaxing over New Year's weekend was just what the doctor ordered. It somehow snowed about five inches between the time we fell asleep last night and the time we woke up this morning. I have not yet gotten over the novelty of going outside and seeing snow. Today the flakes were perfectly-formed little ice crystals.

Tom's microscopic shot of the snow.

The icicle is back! But this is focused on the frost
that consistently forms on our old windows.

Whose fluffier, the snow or Gus?
