Driving out of town this morning the precipitation changed from rain to snow as I started going uphill and it continued to snow all the way to Cabot and then through till noon or so...everything had melted by the afternoon. But still, it snowed!!

We carved pumpkins last night but I cannot get good pictures of them all lit up with our camera.

We are readying ourselves for winter; layering, acquiring warmer garments. I'm determined to try to go without turning the heat on until November...Just knit Tom some new half-gloves. Here he is bundled in his signature Patagonia vest and thick wool cardigan. When he busts that out it means it's really cold.
